Dr Yudia comes with a lot of credentials above his medical degree and she isn’t content to stay there, she has a real passion for learning which is what particularly drew her to this industry. She is also experienced GP with extensive experience working with illnesses and diseases having spent a few of her years as a medical doctor working in the tropical disease clinic on the island.
She manages the client assessments, testing and liaising with the external test centres for the medicals we perform with clients when they arrive. She manages the nursing team and also instructs them on the detox medication/detox regime of people who enter the centre for treatment.
Finally her other qualifications are perfectly suited for us, such as “Advanced Cardiac Life Support” which will be a real asset in training all of our staff how to use the defibrillator machine we keep on site. But most of all, her best asset is herself. Her personality has the ability to make all others around her happier, which is perfect for the line for work we do. A happy environment is a healthy environment, a healing environment. In many aspects the environment is as important as the program and with Dr Yudia, we have been blessed.
Why Howard asked her to join the team
Dr Yudia has an amazing temperament and makes everyone happy. Her approach is great and her smile is possibly the biggest within the centre. I trusted Dr Laila to review her medical credentials, after all I’m not a medical doctor. But after that, the humanitarian side is so important. Coming to a new place filled with people you do not know, in some of the worst places in their lives can be very scary. Having such a friendly face assess their medical needs can really help to put them at ease. This factor should never be overlooked in our industry. She is diligent, professional, kind and loves to learn, she really fits in well with us.”
