Psychoeducation

In the context of drug and alcohol rehabilitation, psychoeducation empowers you and your loved ones to deal with the challenges of addiction in the best possible way. It is particularly powerful in the context of dual diagnoses, when active addicts display co-occurring challenges, such as anxiety and/or depression.

Through psychoeducation we strive to help clients understand themselves more completely, and to guide people to better utilise their own capabilities, resources and coping skills.

Bali Beginnings delivers psychoeducation through topic groups, workshops and guest speakers. We also utilise a number of modules and electives which focus on:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • fear
  • stress
  • pain
  • anger
  • co-dependence
  • setting boundaries
  • trust
  • relationships
  • communication
  • types of addictions
  • medication awareness
  • therapies
  • sleep hygiene, and
  • time management.
