Group therapy
GROUP THERAPY
Group therapy is widely recognised as an evidence-based, effective component of substance addiction treatment. As part of the therapeutic program at Bali Beginnings, our clients attend a wide range of educational and experiential groups. These groups cover issues related to recovery from addiction in addition to more general principles of well-being.

MEDITATION AND INTENTION-SETTING GROUPS
Each day starts with a meditation and intention-setting group. These groups help our clients to develop their confidence with meditation and to set a daily intention to guide their focus during the day.
PROCESS GROUPS
After the meditation and intention-setting group, our clients take part in a process group to encourage them to identify and express any thoughts or feelings that they have noticed. The process group is also used to help our clients understand how they interact with others and to foster a sense of connection and support with other clients.

EDUCATIONAL GROUPS
Our clients attend several educational groups per week which focus on issues such as:
- Understanding the neurobiology of addiction
- Recognising triggers and managing cravings
- Encouraging healthy communication and assertiveness
- Developing emotional regulation strategies
- Learning about meditation
